Church of the Holy Communion

The United Thank Offering:

UTO Ingathering, -

What are you thankful for??

1. You can program the D VD player;

2. You have great friends to share your life;

3. You can still throw a great party;

4. A great CD;

5. You have a best friend;

Can you identify with any of these? ..... ..I can.

Our Spring Ingathering will be held on May 13th; which is also Mother's Day. There could not be a more appropriate day.

There are envelopes, boxes, and a home devotional guide and other materials about UTO on the table in the church. Please take a copy of these brochures home with you. Find out where your money goes and about UTO. The devotional guide is wonderful for every member of the family, from grandparents to the children.

Please take an envelope (and a box if you choose) for your donation.

The boxes are a good thing to keep on your dresser or the kitchen window sill. When the day is sunny and the aids soft-thank God with a few coins. If it is rainy, thank God that you don't have to water your flowers. There is always something to give thanks for. Sometimes it's just a smile from a neighbor or friend.

The peace of the Lord to you all.

Episcopal Church Women:

The Episcopal Church Woman held their monthly meeting Sunday, December 9, 2007 after the 10 0' clock service. After much serious thought and discussion, a motion was made, seconded, and carried to disband ECW as a formal group. Attendance has been failing and it has become difficult to function with so few attendees. All present agreed that we would be open to informal gatherings for fellowship, and would still work for the betterment of CHC but simply through a different venue.

Ways to serve:
There are a number of ways to serve the Church, and we are presently in need of Acolytes, Greeters, Altar Guild members, Church School teachers and Readers. They are all important and take a minimal amount of time.

We would also like to see a few more members joining the Choir. We are very fortunate to have Susan Ciminelli as our Organist, and she would really appreciate a few more voices in the Choir.

Please consider joining one of these special ministries.
