This week's
prayer
|
O
God, whom saints and angels delight to worship in heaven: Be
ever present with your servants who seek through art and music to
perfect the praises offered by your people on earth; grant to them
even now glimpses of your beauty, and make them worthy at length
to behold it unveiled for evermore; through Jesus Christ our
Lord.
Amen.

Exploring Empathy: "Within a theology of
empathy," writes Nathan Brockman, "we understand the oneness of creation, and so
the victim becomes anyone who I have made 'other' in my mind. We all drink of
the same Spirit." This collection of articles from Trinity News may awaken new

A Special
Message from Bishop Garrison St. Peter's Church,
Eggerstville is going through a process of intentional commendation of persons
to various ministries and ordained offices. Formation and education for these
ministries and offices will be accomplished locally. They have four ministry
categories for which they are commending, including both deacon and priest.
Below is a prayer we ask you to pray in your private prayers and
services of public worship. The day they will be prayerfully discerning which
persons are called to which ministries and offices is Sunday, December 23. Thank
you for holding up St. Peter's in your
prayers.
Faithfully, +Michael
A Commendation Prayer for St.
Peter's, Eggertsville
O God, you are ever present among your
people and praised in every time and place. Send your Holy Spirit into the
hearts and minds of the congregation of St. Peter's, Eggertsville as they seek
to discern your will in the commendation of persons to serve among them. Bless
them with perseverance and humility to use those gifts, passions, abilities,
personalities and experiences that you have given them. Shower them with your
grace to respond to the many opportunities and responsibilities of our times;
and save them from both complacency and fear of new ways. Keep them open to all
who are in need of their love and fellowship. Inspire them with the vision of a
world reconciled to you through Jesus Christ our Lord, who with you and the Holy
Spirit lives and reigns for ever and ever. Amen.
