Updated Telephone Tree:

A revised telephone tree has been distributed to the members who have agreed to be Lead Callers to our church community. The list is comprehensive and includes those who have been attending church on a regular basis. It is our hope that keeping people informed in emergencies will encourage them to feel that we want them to feel included Our 'little' church is known for its warmth, friendliness, and the genuine caring nature that we exhibit to each other and those who come to visit. It is important that we keep communications open so people will then want to become more involved.
If for some reason, you don't want to be called in the future, please express this to your Lead Caller.
PLEASE REMEMBER!!! Open communication and keeping each other informed is the key to success.

Acolytes:

We are in need of Acolytes for both services. If you feel called to this ministry, please talk to Fr. Glen or Bob Steinke. The youth members of the congregation usually serve at the 10A.M. service, however the server at the 8 A.M. service is always an adult, so regardless of your age, we can use your assistance.

The Five Finger Prayer:

1. Thumb: It is the one nearest to you .Begin your prayers by praying for those closest to you. They are the easiest to remember. To pray for our loved ones is, as C. S. Lewis once said, a "sweet duty".

2. The next one is the Pointing Finger: pray for those who teach, instruct and heal. This includes teachers, doctors and ministers. They need support and wisdom in pointing others in, the right direction. Keep them in your prayers.

3. The next finger is the tallest finger: It reminds, us of our leaders. Pray for the president, leaders of "business and industry, and administrators. These people shape, our nation and guide public opinion. They need God's guidance.

4. The fourth finger is our ring finger: Surprising to many is the fact that it is our weakest finger; as any piano teacher will testify. It should remind us to pray for those who are weak, in trouble or in ,pain. They need our prayers day and night You cannot pray too much for them.

5. And lastly comes the little finger; the smallest finger of all which is where we should place ourselves in relation to God' and others. As the Bible says, "The least shall be the greatest among you" Your 'pinkie' should remind you to pray for yourself. By the time you have prayed for the other groups, your own needs will be put into proper perspective and you will be able to pray for yourself more effectively.
